Enrico was given a huge challenge with the mix of Karnataka’s album The Gathering Light with its multi-layered vocals, orchestration and complex structure. The recording was transformed by his mixing – his frequency knowledge is second to none and his skills as a musician help bring a sympathetic approach to the mix. The quality of the sound and mix were complimented on by Frank Arkwright, one of the UKs best mastering engineers. The Gathering Light won the Best International Album at the 2010 World Web Prog Awards against top quality competition from major labels. I’m sure the quality of the mix played a major role in winning the award.
